Edward Narain

Edward Narain is a Fijian political analyst, researcher and author, whose work regularly appears in The Fiji Times and Fiji Sun. Narain is also a senior advisor with the Fiji Labour Party. Descendant from Indian indentured labourers, Edward’s childhood was equally immersed in his Indo-Fijian roots and extended Indigenous Fijian family. Inspired by conversations overheard during his childhood about development in Fiji - through his Dad’s involvement in the Indigenous-led Alliance Party - Edward has maintained a keen interest in development economics, race and class dynamics, and social justice in Fiji.

In his spare time, Edward enjoys playing soccer with his three children and playing the drums.
